It's surprising just how many of the top 100 UK law firms play lip service to the importance of online visibility. Travers Smith is one of the exceptions.

Websites exist for no other reason than to get your message in front of a larger untapped audience. In the case of Travers Smith that audience are other lawyers, competitors, journalists and graduates as well as existing and potential clients. Unless you have page 1 or 2 visibility on search engines like Google, MSN, AOL and Yahoo, all they have to go on is a name on a business card.

A beautifully designed website is still invisible to all but the designer and the client unless you apply sound and targeted search engine optimisation (SEO).

Within weeks of refocusing the Travers Smith website in terms of SEO the results were very impressive. Page 1 on Google UK for 8 out of 10 of it's main practice areas and in 1st or 2nd place for 50% of those.
